Upgrade your venue with EV charging
More and more drivers are switching to electric vehicles (EVs) and they’re planning their trips around EV charging locations.
Upgrading your venue to offer EV charging can help you to attract more guests and improve the guest experience for EV drivers.
If you operate an eligible regional venue you may be able to apply for a grant worth up to $12,000 to install EV charging stations for the use of your guests.
Destination Charging Grant NSW
The NSW government is currently offering grants to eligible regional businesses to assist you in upgrading your venue with EV charging facilities.
The current grant pool is $10 million and offers subsidies of up to 75% of the costs of an EV charger installation. 167 regional venues have already successfully received funding through the grant program.
The NSW Government’s objectives of the grants are to:
- overcome range anxiety and help to create a world-class EV charging network
- support destinations across regional NSW to be EV-ready
- support the growth of the NSW visitor economy and the ability to cater for an increasing number of EV drivers.
By growing the EV charging network across NSW, the grants will enable EV uptake which will reduce carbon emissions and help reach the NSW Government’s Net Zero emissions target.
